A unique opportunity for pulp and paper training for your employees on your mill-site is available for companies with a desire to improve employee’s knowledge of pulp and paper. The program involves classroom type lectures and/or in-mill hands-on activities and tours. The actual learning content is developed between the company and the faculty in order to meet the specific needs of the company. Topics specific to the mill or company processes can thus be emphasized. The faculty has many years of experience in developing learning activities to meet company’s learning objectives.
Courses can range from a 1-day course to a 2-week course with dates as needed. This type of short course can be conducted economically for as little as 5 students. Significant savings can be realized relative to paying for employees to traveling to attend courses. The objectives, activities, employee backgrounds, course resources and costs are clearly defined prior to the course. Optionally, the course can be conducted at NCSU, taking advantage of our laboratories and pilot plant paper machine for activities.
